Whole-Home Renovations in Bethlehem, One Section at a Time
Layouts reworked, systems updated and every room refinished, with the house split into sections so the parts you're living in stay covered and clean.
List the rooms on your renovation — (000) 000-0000A Big Job in a Lived-In House
When most of the house needs work, the order matters as much as the work itself. We divide the job into sections, close each one off behind dust walls while it is opened up, and keep a bathroom and a place to cook running wherever the layout allows.
Occasionally a short move-out makes more sense, usually when every room has to open at once. We'll say so early, not after demolition starts.
What a Renovation Can Cover
-
Floor plans reworked
Walls taken out or shifted, a closed kitchen opened to the living area, a cramped hall widened, with load-bearing questions answered before anything comes down.
-
Systems brought up to date
While walls are open, the supply lines, drains and wiring the new layout needs go in, so each wall is opened and closed only once.
-
Kitchens and baths in sequence
When both are on the list, they're scheduled so you always have a working toilet and, wherever possible, somewhere to make a meal.
-
One look throughout
Trim profiles, paint colors, doors and hardware are picked once and repeated room to room, so the finished house never looks like a patchwork of separate jobs.
How a Renovation Runs
-
Set the sections
We agree on which rooms go first, which stay in use and where materials will sit, so each phase has a clear start and a clear end.
-
Open, rebuild, close
Each section is sealed off and opened up, and the framing, pipe and wiring changes are finished before walls close, so nothing gets torn open twice.
-
Finish and reset
Paint, trim and fixtures go in, the section is deep-cleaned, and only then do the coverings and dust walls move to the next part of the house.
Living Through a Renovation
Do we have to move out for a whole-home renovation?
Usually not. Working in sections keeps a bedroom, a bathroom and a basic kitchen available most of the time. When every room has to open at once, a short stay elsewhere can save weeks.
Will a renovation this size need permits?
Very likely. Moving walls, adding circuits or rerouting supply and drain lines generally calls for one. We'll tell you which ones a job like yours tends to need, and everything is built to get through inspection.
